Welcome to Stay Alive .... Just Drive!

How often are you driving with your undivided attention devoted to the road and your immediate surroundings? Unfortunately, this doesn’t happen often enough. Driving with distractions such as your cell phone, food, drink, and MP3 players are incorporated into daily driving at a staggering rate.

Sending or receiving a text message takes a driver's eyes from the road for an average of 4.6 seconds, the equivalent-at 55 mph-of driving the length of an entire football field, blind. That doesn’t include reaction time, so you can see why more than 1.6 million crashes are caused by cell phone use and texting each year. Stay Alive…Just Drive Inc., (SAJD) is a nonprofit organization that promotes safe, attentive driving, and steers everyone away from distracted driving.

Remember:
When you drive distracted …we are all impacted!

By working together we can prevent tragedies such as these: Heather Hurd, who was murdered by a texting semi-tractor trailer driver texting his driver log. No one can forget Hannah Grant who was sentenced to life in a wheelchair without parole by a distracted driver. Visit these articles to learn more about these ladies.

Not a day goes by in which we do not hear of tragic crashes due to a distracted driver. Help us make a difference and stop these irresponsible drivers.  No text message or phone call is worth the risk. Not only are you putting your own life in danger, you’re putting other drivers, motorcyclists, bicyclists, and pedestrians in danger. Driving will always be a privilege- never a right.
